A
Dream Come True! |
Tom
Shaver works hard, has done all his life in Orange County California
in the landscape maintenance business. Tom visited Nicaragua for
the first time in 2003, after his friend Ken Ross had told him about
the country. Tom fell in love with the place from the very first
day he arrived there, vowing to go back home and figure out a way
he could not only visit again, but maybe one day retire there.

“While
I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do, or how I was going
to do it, I knew that I had to promise myself not to let this dream
pass me by.” Tom says. “I couldn’t get my mind
off San Juan del Sur, and how the small town just swept away the
stresses of life. I felt so much more at ease there than I did at
home, and all I could think of was how the days passed peacefully
by, free from any hustle and bustle.” |
| While
having lunch one day, Tom asked Ken what he thought might be a good
strategy for him as Ken had made the leap and jumped in with both
feet. Ken recommended that Tom should consider starting out with
a lot or two, but insisted he should act quickly and not make the
same mistake so many others do by over analyzing every last detail
only to miss out on the opportunity all together. |

Tom
took the advice to heart and stuck his neck out and got involved.
Two and a half years later, Tom is grateful he didn’t wait
and has done very well with the decisions he made. He just returned
from yet another trip, this time to see the finalization of his
new two-bedroom, two and one half bathroom, ocean view villa at
Bayview Terrace. |
| |
|
Tom’s villa still needs the final interior and exterior paintwork
to be completed, the appliances and furniture need to be delivered,
and the parking and area splash pool needs the last touches. If
you have plans to visit SJDS this year, please keep your eye on
our website as we will be featuring all five villas at Bayview Terrace.
Each offers a great value and a way to secure some privacy away
from the normal hotel room option.

Tom
has one last word… Thanks
Ken, maybe I’ll let you stay at my place for half price!!!! |

Until next time, see you in Paradise!
